Farmigea Ophthalmics was established in 2015, part of the Farmigea organisation, with global headquarters based in Pisa, Italy. Farmigea is a family healthcare company founded in 1946. Throughout its history, the company has focused on improving eye health, and today, is one of the leading European players in this field. Farmigea specialises in the research, development, production and marketing of ophthalmic products, offering a complete range of services and products. Currently, our products are available in over 50 countries around the world, and recognised for their quality and safety by consumers and Health Care Professionals.

In the UK, Farmigea Ophthalmics has its office in the market & mining town of Leigh in Lancashire. The company values include the encouragement of general health improvement, with community engagement supporting local health and sport activities. Farmigea are specifically proud to be involved in some of the town’s activities, including support of their Super League Rugby League team, Leigh Leopards. We also practice Corporate Social Responsibility in the town by supporting grass roots rugby team Leigh Miners Rangers with an emphasis on free education on Dry Eye in sport and the treatment of it.

The Farmigea Ophthalmic team is made up of a small group of professionals who have many years’ experience within the ophthalmology, optometry and pharmaceutical markets. Our team cover the whole of the UK and Eire in the most sustainable manner possible using virtual & in-person platforms for team engagement, CPD and meetings. Farmigea work with external agencies to provide specialist marketing & brand identity.

To contribute to the fight against climate change and global sustainability, Farmigea is carrying out specific projects aimed at reducing its overall carbon footprint. In fact, Farmigea, always heedful to environmental issues, is implementing an internal revolution that will lead it to be at the forefront also on ecological advancement.
